Ella Aurora Snellman (b. 1995) is a Helsinki-based costume designer and scenographer specializing in the performing arts and film. She holds an MA in costume design from Aalto University, with a minor in scenography from Uniarts Helsinki’s Theatre Academy.

 

Snellmans work is fueled by a fascination with alternative materials, forms and worlds. She values intertwined collaboration in audiovisual storytelling. At the heart of her practice is a commitment to highlighting and nurturing the many facets of beauty. Her work has often been described as holistic, dramaturgically ambitious and rich in colour and details. Through her work, she strives to foster the joy of life.​

 

She is currently working as a costume designer in a children's play set to premiere in February 2026. ​​​
